Partners for Humanitarian Action, Service, and Education International (PHASE I)

Partners for Humanitarian Action, Service, and Education International (PHASE I) is an approved 501(c)(3) charity which has as its major objective to facilitate the acquisition of job skills by the poor within Latin American communities, thereby enabling them to provide for themselves and their families.

Each year millions of children in Latin American countries are cast aside to fend for themselves because their families cannot care for them. These children are rarely ever placed with caregivers or adopted, and they live out their formative years on the streets or in sub-standard orphanages. As they grow to adulthood, they fall into lifestyles that continue a lifecycle of poverty because they have little education and no vocational skills.

PHASE I began its work in Peru in 2009 after several of its members had traveled there earlier on mission trips with church organizations. It became obvious that while these mission trips were worthwhile and rewarding, more was needed to help the children escape the fate of their fathers.  They needed to have saleable vocational job skills in order to acquire employment that would monetarily provide for their subsistence and that of their families.

PHASE I seeks to partner with Latin American communities to develop vocational education programs and skills centers that provide an opportunity for the poor to develop the job skills necessary to acquire and maintain employment.
